Installing KGPR Trunk Wire Cover

The trick is to remove the hood hinge springs at the lower mount. Lift the front decklid all the way up (then support it with your head or a short stick). Squeeze the spring together (channel lock pliers are good with a cloth over the spring to protect the paint). Pop one side out and then the other.

Put one corner of the Wire Cover in first, then bend horizontally in a wide arch and fit the other side in. Take a look at the top corners, on some Ghias this area can be trimmed for a better fit. When remount the springs, the ends come through the mounting holes, fitting over the top of the Wire Cover. If the Cover is something you take in and out often, four oval notches in these areas will allow you to easily pull it past the mounted springs.
